Every year during the summer months, our church celebrates Love Week. It’s the church outreach program in steroids. From July 24 to 31, the church will partner and serve over 300 organizations to provide help in five key areas of need. We are encouraged to serve at least 1 hour.
Last year, my husband, stepson and I served in several events both in our local church in the Triad and in Charlotte Uptown. We did some meal packing, snack packing, sorting of food at the local pantry. This year in the Triad, they have events in support of their partners, Salvation Army, Hope Academy, Imprint Cares, Greensboro Urban Ministry, Lexington School System, SECU Family House, Habitat for Humanity, Ashley Academy, World Relief Triad, Boys and Girls Club of Winston Salem, Feed the Hunger and Out of the Garden.
