Cast of Amazing Race Season 14

To all ye Amazing Race fans, mark your calendar as Amazing Race Season 14 will begin on February 15, 8pm EST or for folks in the other side of the world February 16.  This year’s cast composed of the usual, mundane groups such as siblings, dating couples, married couples, all female beauties (cheerleader & flight attendants) and parent/child.  The reason why I say it’s usual and mundane coz after following the show since season 1, they seem to have a standard type of people that they usually choose.

Let’s meet the cast this season starting off with:

• Tammy & Victor – siblings of Asian descent, litigation lawyers and graduate of Harvard Law.  They are smart but with two lawyers in the group would they fight their way to the finish line or be able to create a plan to outsmart the rest of the teams?  (Maybe they could speak several languages like the girl in season 10!  That would be a plus!)

• Mark & Michael – brothers and stuntmen.  They seem to be physically fit but this race is not just physical but also emotional and mental.  Their bio said they’re mentally capable due to their jobs and can make split second decision.  They certainly are risk takers so we’ll see if they make the correct decisions to finish this race.

TV Schedule after Christmas Break

Christmas break seem to have pass by so quick!  It seems like my life has been a flurry of meeting with friends, work or going on a holiday.  I didn’t even miss that much TV and are still catching up with the last remaining episodes of my favorite shows before they ended.   It seems like I have to catch up quickly as some of the shows are already back from Christmas break or will be back in the next couple of week.

House MD – Season 5, Episode 7

After the “KISS” from last episode, House is in denial of this brewing love/lust interest with Dr. Cuddy.  A change in House’s reaction towards Cuddy made Wilson think that there’s more to the kiss than what House says.  House’s new and former team have also noticed a change in the way he handles confrontations with Cuddy.

In the diagnostic front, Cameron asked House to take a case of a young man who experience pain when he goes out of his house and seizures.  The young man also has inferiority complex and doesn’t like to be in a crowd.  Initially, the reason for his phobia is due to witnessing his girlfriend murdered.  They did an x-ray and found some blockage.  They needed to do surgery but the patient refused to go out of the house.  To solve this dilemma, they did an illegal move but was foiled as Cameron had to do the good thing.  The patient lawyered up so they had to do the surgery at home.  It was actually cool as they cut open one of the blockage fire came out because of gas.  There was no sudden enlightening in this story but the result of the sickness is due to lead poisoning.

CSI .. Which is the BEST???

CSI or Crime Scene Investigation is becoming one of the longest TV series in the US. It started with CSI Las Vegas with William Petersen acting as Gil Grissom as the head of the crime scene unit. They’ve had successful runs as they’re in their 9th season. They’ve lost two of their original crew and have a new CSI this season. In the beginning, it was a must watch but after 8 seasons some of their plots seem to be recurring and their appeal seems to be dwindling. Also, I think you’ve seen the whole of Las Vegas from watching all their episodes.

House MD – Season 5, Episode 6

To give and take away life.  To heal the sick and watch them live a new life.  To hold a newborn and to be a parent.  The title of this week episode of House is “Joy” and in my opinion it is anything but joy.

The episode started with a father who was drinking coffee after coffee till he’s blacking out and missing time.  Initially, they thought it was caused by drugs as he was caught buying cocaine while he was technically asleep.  However, when they were doing test to support it, they found another symptom which negated it.  It’s a trial and error cycle wherein symptom after symptom came up.  To add it up, the daughter also got whatever the father had.  House had a talk with Wilson and Wilson said something about the baby which Cuddy wanted to adopt which resulted to a realization about something that will assist him in solving the case.  In the end, both father and daughter were saved of their initial sickness and the daughter was able to donate one kidney to her dad.
