Amazon Prime Day 2021

Last year for Amazon Prime Day, I bought quite a bit of items on Amazon. I remember looking at lightning deals and setting my notification when it goes on sale. This year, Amazon Prime Days will be on June 21 and 22 (Monday and Tuesday). If you’re like me who’s not comfortable shopping in store, Prime Days will be best for you.

So what’s Amazon Prime Day? Two days of Prime Deals! There are lightning deals which goes on sale at certain time with a limited number of items per product. Standard discounts on certain products available on both days. Items from baby products, grocery items, furniture, appliances, TVs, Amazon products, books, etc. You name it, they might have it on sale.

Travel: Savannah

Last on my series on Savannah. My sister said that Savannah is more food trip than sightseeing. It might be but I don’t think we’ve explored all what Savannah has to offer. On this post, I will be sharing more on places we’ve visited and food we’ve tasted. I will also be sharing places we’ve missed and other places people suggested we should visit or try.

For a good picture of oak trees and spanish moss, visit Wormsloe Historic Site. Ticket costs $10 for adults, $9 for seniors, $4.50 for youths, $2 for kids under 6. All prices are plus tax. Are the prices worth it? If you’re into photography or instagram, I would suggest paying for it as the place is really beautiful. My sister didn’t want to pay so we had to do some shadow photography when the staff ain’t looking.

For coffee, our tour guide suggested, Blends A Coffee or The Coffee Fox. No indoor sitting for The Coffee Fox. Nice ambiance and indoor sitting for Blends A Coffee. My hubby tried the lavender cold brew at Blends A Coffee. He said it’s refreshing and perfect for hot and humid weather. We weren’t able to try The Coffee Fox but they use locally roasted Perc Coffee.

10 Ways to Save Money While Travelling

We recently went on a road trip to Alexandria, VA and Washington D.C. for the cherry blossom festival. My husband and I love to travel but with COVID-19 it’s scary to be on a plane or on a cruise. Hopefully, things will get back to normal so we could fly and visit our relatives back West or even back to the Philippines.

With all the traveling I made since 2012, here are some ways to save money while travelling:

Be Grateful

A few days before Christmas, one of the blogs I follow talked about how having a Gratitude Journal helped him with his finances. I remember a couple of years back, I started a blog writing about things I’m thankful for daily. It’s one of the blogs that I started on a free site but stopped after 36 days.

Since I have a hard time falling asleep, one of the tips they mentioned was turning off your gadgets an hour before bedtime and have a notebook beside your bed to write down all the ideas that are floating on your mind to get it off and switch your mind off.

Simple Strategies to Reduce Screen Time

On our lesson last Friday in ESMM, we talked about some simple strategies to reduce screen time.  According to studies, more screen time equals to higher body weight.  This is due to our inactivity, advertisements we are bombarded with and mindless eating that happens.  Sometimes it’s hard to let go of our gadgets and allot some exercise in our day to day life. I remember when I was working, my fitbit will send an alarm when it’s almost 10 minutes to an hour. This will remind me to take 250 steps. However, if you don’t have the drive to do anything, no matter how many things you do, losing weight will not happen. It’s all in your mind!
